State Primary election is May 11, 2010

PAGE UPDATED JANUARY 26, 2010

UPDATES ARE IN RED

The State Primary election is going to be held on May 11, 2010 for the even numbered districts.  Incumbents need to file by February 15, 2010, and non-incumbents need to file by March 1, 2010.

We need to work on getting ABATE friendly people in office and/or keep them there!

As of December 11, 2009, these are who have filed for a legislative district election, along with weather they oppose or support ABATE:

District 2

Dave Pankonin - Louisville - Opposition

Nate Louderback - Plattsmouth - *He is the challenger, and will be getting back to us with his position

Update January 26, 2010 - The following is Mr. Louderback's response to Scott's inquiry as to whether he would support LB200

"After researching a little more about LB200 I believe I would vote for the measure or a similar measure if elected to office.  I personally advocate that all riders should be safe and wear the best protective equipment available; however, I believe that as citizens of the United States that responsible adults above the age of majority should be able to make their own decisions.  Please note that support for any bill is contingent upon the following:

1. a requirement for minors to wear protective headgear until the age of majority or the ability to show that they can comprehend the full consequences of their actions as shown by passing a state administered safety program.

2. no loss of federal funding for highways (I have confirmed that this bill will not affect highway funding)

Please also note that if elected, I have promised my friend that I would sponsor a bill regarding the 'Wait and Proceed Slowly' legislation as many of the lights in Nebraska have weight sensors that are not triggered by riders."

**We need to show Mr. Louderback our support and help him get elected!  Contact him to see what you can do to help with the campaign!  Small personal donations....putting up campaign signs....anything you can think of!  His web site is www.louderbackforlegislature.com  **

Some of these people currently support us, and some do not.  We need to let them know we support them, and work to get those who do not support us out.  For those new folks who are running, we need to get to know them and and find out where they stand on our agenda.
