In an effort to bring the message of safety and awareness to Nebraska citizens, the leadership and board of ABATE of Nebraska have purchased newspaper advertising space in 158 local and regional Nebraska newspapers to run on the 2nd week of May. It is estimated that this newspaper blitz will reach @ 413,000 households and be read by over 1 million Nebraska residents.

These ads will coincide with Governor Dave Heineman's signed proclamation that the month of May is "Motorcycle Awareness Month". The ad's will use the common phrase, "Look Twice, Save a Life. Motorcycles are Everywhere" and include ABATE of Nebraska's website address for more information.

"The membership is pleased we are spending money on the things we should be spending it on", said ABATE of Nebraska State Coordinator Larry Schutt. "We really have high hopes that the average Nebraska driver will read the advertisement and in turn, lives will be saved."
